Demo access and login
The demo has no email allowlist. Login is membership-aware: existing users and provisioned members can sign in, and judges enter with an access code on /judge.
How demo login works
Magic links are issued to existing users and provisioned members — for example a speaker whose CFP submission was accepted. Unknown emails fail closed without enumerating other users: they cannot self-register on the demo host. There is no separate email allowlist to join.
Judge access
Competition judges open /judge and enter the access code from the submission. This mints a shared demo-persona session (admin, evaluator, or speaker) on the seeded demo event that lasts about four hours. The role switcher at the top of every shell moves between roles without re-entering the code and is badged “Shared demo”. Attempts are rate-limited (10 per 5 minutes per IP), the page 404s when judge access is disabled, and demo sessions mint API keys clamped to a 4-hour expiry (revoke limited to demo-created keys).
Get access as a real entrant
Submit the public CFP with your own email. When an admin accepts your submission you become a provisioned member, and membership-aware magic-link login gets you into the portal with that identity.
- Submit the public CFP with the email you will use to sign in.
- Wait for an accept decision (on the shared demo, an admin persona can record it).
- Open /login and request a magic link for that email.
- Complete the link and confirm your role chrome.
Role changes
If your role is upgraded to admin, request a fresh magic link so the session picks up new authorizations. Old sessions may not reflect mid-session role edits depending on implementation timing.
